Prom is a very beautiful event and it forces a lot of romance that wouldn’t normally occur. You are stunning in that magnificent dress, your hair never looked more beautiful and the make-up artist made wonders to your face. You wish that this magical night would never end! After just a few weeks you will graduate from school, you feel like a grown up and want this night to be special. And can’t wait to have sex for the first time.
We can only guess that this is how a lot of teenagers feel during their prom night and maybe that is why this event is often associated with sex. And although the decision to have sex is a very personal matter and nothing any one can say will stop you, we want to make sure that you will think everything through. In the end of the day, it is a very big decision.
Caught up in the romance of the moment many teenagers can make bad choices that they later might regret. We want you to have the most wonderful and fun night and if your prom night plans include sex for the first time, we would like you to think of the following:
1. Protection. You probably heard all about it from your parents or the health teacher, but please don’t forget about it. You can’t be too careful. Don’t let your first sex experience damage your health or leave you dealing with unwanted pregnancy. Please research the most acceptable protection method which would suit and protect you the most.
2. The Guy/The Girl. Are you sure this guy is the one? Do you love him enough to share this very private experience with him? Do you trust him fully? Are you confident that the details of your special night won’t feature his Facebook wall on the next day? These are the questions you should ask yourself beforehand, to avoid disappointment and heart-break in the future.
3. The Place. If you have researched all the protection methods and are confident about the person you want to share the night with, the next thing you need to think about is the place where it is going to happen. The first night should be unforgettable and beautiful, so don’t consider the back of his car an acceptable option.
4. Are you really ready? This question you need to ask yourself and give the honest answer. Why you want to have sex on your prom night? What is the true reason for doing it? Do you understand that it is absolutely ok to say no to sex when in doubt? You should never do something against your inner self as well as treat your virginity as something to get over with.
