Are you invited to a graduation ceremony and not sure what to wear?
Some colleges and universities prefer to see their guests in black tie (i.e. tuxedo or dark suit and a formal tie), others are more flexible and don’t provide specific guidelines. But even those institutions that take the dress code easy, expect you to avoid wearing shorts and flip flops to the event. We’d say, a minimum requirement is a smart casual attire.
